COLORED MASK TUTE
Here's a way of making a mask without using Screen or Multiply.
Take a mask to IM. Here is a black one and a white one you can use.
(For printers convenience, here are the url's --- http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/M-RoundBow-B.jpg http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/M-RoundBow-W.jpg http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/MidnightSky.jpg http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/S-MidnightSkyMask.jpg )
And here's the image I used
Go to F/X and click on Tint. Delete the word White in the box at the bottom and put in any color you want. I used blue.
Then scroll under your image and use Fuzz 5000, (10% at WWH), Floodfill, and Matte. Delete any color that may be in the color box. Click on the part of the mask you want your image to show up on.
Go to Composite, use Center and Dst Over. Don't click on the tile across box at bottom of page. If your image is bigger than your mask, you can move it up or down or left or right til you get it where you want it. And If you want your image even brighter, go back and Comp again, this time use Overlay.
Take it to Annotate and sign it and resize if you wish. Output Jpg, Single file and Upload.
Here's a sample of one I made. Click on it to see how it will look on a black email page.
