4 Rectangles Using Dstover
A Help Page by Mary

I got this image in a yahoo group and decided to try to duplicate it. The original image had blinkies which I'm not replacing.

I selected this image to work with. For printers' convenience, this is the url---http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/Summer_Days_keep.jpg

The dimensions of this picture are 534x420. Take the image to Image Magick and resize is to 450x.

Your image now will be 450x354. Note: I try to keep the images to be about 450 width, more or less.

Either upload this image, or hold it in your memory, or put it on a mailto:1 page for later use.

Back up to your resized image.

Click on Draw at the Top.
Choose Rectangle.
In the number slot, put 0,0 450,354.
In the fill color slot, put rgba(251,251,251,0.60).
Note, if you want a thin outline like the original image, you can put a color in the stroke slot and a width of 1.
Click draw.

If you want it lighter or darker, change the 60 to 50 or 70.

Click on draw at the top and choose rectangle.
Put these numbers in the slot and choose white for the fill color.
103,85 155,257
Make three more rectangles, clicking on draw each time.
163,105 215,277
223,85 275,257
283,105 335,277

Go below your image and put 5555 in fuzz, choose floodfill, matte and none. Click on each of the white rectangles.
Composite your original resized image using center and dstover.

Here's my finished image

I reduced mine to 400x315. If you want to use it in an e-mail, use #e8e8e8 as the background color of your e-mail.

If you have any problems, feel free to e-mail me at Kitkat3L@(remove)webtv.net or you can find me here.
