Draw a Triple Frame Polygon
A Help Page by Mary
This is merely a transcription of my notes of how to draw three polygons to form a frame. Any similarity to any other tutorial is a coincidence.
Here is my work sheet which I will attempt to explain. Here is the image I worked with.
I used point and click and determined that the actual image of the friends was approximately 166x166.
To have lots of room, I drew a square on the graph paper 40 squares by 40 squares which would be 400x400 if you count each square as 10. I found the center and counted off the size of my picture. From there, I could determine
how big to make my polygons.
The outer polygon would be 5 squares or 50 pixels from the edge. The next two polygons would be 10 pixels or 1 square apart.
Every place on that graph paper is a set of numbers. So many pixels from the left and so many pixels from the top. Now, isn't that simple? LOL
Composite the "friends" image in the center of your black 400x400 blank.
Click draw at the top and choose polygon in the menu.
The numbers for the outside polygon are-----
+50+150 +150+50 +250+50 + 350+150 +350+250 +250+350 +150+350 +50+250 +50+150
Delete the fill color and use #21589B for the stroke color with a width of 4. (Or use colors and width of your choice.)
I used the same color for the inside polygon and these numbers---
+70+160 +160+70 +240+70 +330+160 +330+240 +240+330 +160+330 +70+240 +70+160
For the middle polygon, I used #FBE4EC for stroke color with a width of 2. I used these numbers---
+60+155 +155+60 + 245+60 +340+155 +340+245 +245+340 +155+340 +60+245 +60+155
Here is my result with a little annotating on it----
