More Help for Filled Names

Written by Marlene

Think of using a fill as printing your name on a piece of white paper then cutting out your letters. Then you will hold a piece of colored paper behind that so that the color will show through your letters.

Take this 400x400 white blank to IM. For printer's convenience, here is the url-- http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_2/400x400_white_gif_keep.gif.

Click Annotate at the top.
Put your name in text box.
+0+0 and Center
Point size 60
Fill color Pink
Stroke color Black -- Stroke width 1

Use this font.

Go down below your tag & put these in the first 3 boxes.
Fuzz 5000
Method - REPLACE
Paint Type MATTE

Hit your return key to put the arrow on the tag. Place the arrow somewhere on one of your letters on the PINK color & click. They may now look gray, or off white, depending on the bg color of the IM.

Go to the top of the page & click Output, then Output it GIF, SINGLE FILE ( Must be a GIF at this point )

Will look like this. http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_2/trans_name_keep.gif.

Go back to IM with the White or Clear 400x400 blank.
Click Composite at the top.
Put in the url of this Fill

Choose Over from the menu. Go to bottom of page & click on the box that says Tile across etc.
Scroll up a little and Press to COMPOSITE.

The next page will come up looking like this. http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_2/filled_blank_keep.jpg.

Go to top of page & click on Composite again.

Delete the url for the Fill & put in the url for your transparent name.
+0+0 and Center
Go to bottom of page & Un-Check the box.
Scroll back up to Press to COMPOSITE.

Your tag will look like this --

You can Trim your tag now if you want then Output JPG, SINGLE FILE & upload.

If the fill was a glitter or animated, you would output GIF, MULTI FRAME, and take it to G/W.

Note: You do this the same way when making a sig with an image on it. Just annotate your name on the tag where you want it & continue.

Always make the blank for the fill, the same size as the size of the tag you're putting your name on.
