Using the Point and Click Method
A Help Page by Mary
This technique isn't new but this help page hopefully will explain how to figure the off-set numbers and how to use them. I wrote it for my benefit but I hope it will help you understand the off-set numbers.
We will first make a blank. Go to Arbor Image Magick. On the first page, scroll down.
Under Size, put 350x150.
Under Format, click xc.
Under meta, put white.
Scroll up and click on view.
Click composite at the top.
Put this url in the slot http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages/St_P_bear1_keep.gif
Offset Numbers are +0+0 and East. Click composite.
Click Transform at the top. Choose "flop". Click transform.
The image should be on the left side now.
Click composite at the top.
Leave everything the same and click composite in the middle of the page. This should make a bear on each side.
Now For the Point and Click
Scroll down to the picture and click on it. This activates a yellow arrow. Move the arrow to the top of the left bear where you would like your first line to start---and click.
When the picture comes up, scroll BELOW the picture and jot down the first two numbers. Mine were 55 and 23.
Click on the picture again, activate the arrow, and move it to the right bear to where you want the line to end---and click. Again, on the next page, scroll BELOW the picture and jot down the first two numbers. Mine were 291 and 23.
Go to the top and click "draw".
Select Line from the menu.
Delete the numbers from the box and put the numbers in that you found. Here's how I write them--+55+23 +291+23. Notice that the second number is the same.
That means the line will be 23 pixels from the top and will be straight across. The number 55 means 55 pixels from the left hand side and the number 291 means 291 pixels also from the left side.
Take out the color in "fill" and in stroke color, put #4F755e. Stroke width is 5, or a smaller number if you want a thinner line. Click draw.
Repeat this process for the lower part of the left bear and the lower part of the right bear. The numbers I got are 87 and 122 for the left and 263 and 122 for the right bear. So my numbers in the number box would be +87+122 +263+122. Click draw.
This is what it looks like now.
Time to Annotate
Go to the top and click annotate.
Put your text in the box.
Offset numbers are +0+0 and Center.
I chose this font http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/fonts/LondonderryAir.ttf but use any font that you'd like.
I left the fill color blank and in stroke color, I put #4F755e. I used width of 1 and Point 30. Click annotate.
Click output and choose jpg and single file. Upload to your server.
Here's my finished tag.
