Let's Make a Sparkley Banner
A Help Page by Mary
This is merely my interpretation of animating stars on a banner.
It is not my intention to copy any other tutorials for this help page.
Make your banner at Banner Generator or at Image Magick. Composite it on a black background.
Determine the position of your stars on your banner. I would suggest writing it down after each composite so you know where you have put them.
This is the banner I will be working with.

Here is the little star (http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages/1tiny_white_star.gif) that we will be compositing. And here is double little stars (http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages/2tiny_white_stars.gif) that you may want to use.
In your warehouse account or zone account ---these are the only two that I'm familiar with---make a directory and call it fall_ani.
Take your banner to Image Magick, use Point and Click to get the offset numbers, and composite two stars in different positions on your banner. Upload to your fall_ani directory and name it frame01.gif. Upload a plain version of your banner to the same directory and name it frame02.gif.
Take the plain banner back to Image Magick and use Point and Click to get positions of two more stars. Composite the stars. Upload to the fall_ani directory and name this one frame03.gif.
Upload another plain version of your banner and name it frame04.gif.
You should now have four frames---two with stars and two plain ones.
At the WAREHOUSE, scroll down to the tools and click on "animate". Put 25 in the delay and leave "endless loop" as is. Animate and Refresh to the fall_ani directory.
At the ZONE, cc&p the first frame url and go to Image Magick. Put the url in the slot and then delete the last of the url back to the slash. Hit view. On the next page, click output.
Choose gif and multi-frame. Delay would be 25. Output and upload.
Here's my finished animated banner----
