Gails Goodbye To Moses
Gail says of it: When I took this picture last year, it wasn't a favorite, but now it's taken on new significance. This is Moses fading out of the spot she's graced these last 6 years, waving her footsie as she so loved to do to the delight of all and especially me, and saying her Zoom Zoom -- without her usual smile on that pretty face, but with her eyes shining inwardly with the intense life that has gone with her to the bridge.
Your flock and I miss you so very much, little girl. Only a month without you, your absence is still much too huge and painful for me to look beyond. But all the loving hugs and wise words from our friends comfort me as I wait for the calmer moment when the sense of your presence becomes greater than your absence, a hope-filled promise made in this poem sent by Alex. I love you, Moses.
Those we have loved,
Though now beyond our view,
Have given form and
substance to our being.
And, they live on,
Unfailingly filling our hearts
Until the sense of their presence,
