On the Other Side of the Bridge
As I flew over the Rainbow Bridge my heart was heavy to be leaving,
Leaving behind my beloved family and I swallowed a sob as I heard them grieving.
I kept looking back to keep them in view,
trying not to look ahead,
When suddenly my wings spread wide and strong,
no longer was I filled with dread.
I looked around as I flew so high,
seeing a wondrous place,
