POT ROAST

1 roast (4-5 pounds)
Oil
1 package Lipton onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 soup can of water
Brown meat in small amount of oil in a Dutch oven.
Combine remaining ingredients
and pour over meat.
Cover and cook in a 350-degree oven
for 4 to 5 hours.
(I just cook it one hour for every pound of meat
since I usually don't cook such a large
roast for just the two of us.)
If desired, add carrots, onions and potatoes
during the last hour
Note: Do not add salt.
