Tom Pelphrey came across the same way in 2006 as he did in 2005. He seems genuinely open and a nice guy.

In response to a question, he said this beaded thing was a gift from Mike Rosiday. Both hosts seemed to know who that is, but I was unable to find out in an internet search. He said Mike and he were at a Connecticut casino and he admired it, so Mike gave it to him, and he got a wallet chain for it. He and Mike are good friends.

He had just won the Emmy, and he said it was a good thing, since his mom had gone dress shopping before he was even nominated.

He said the day GL got all those nominations was a great day, exciting for everyone. He doesn't mind seeing himself in comedy scenes, but with the drama he thinks to himself: "this kid needs to shut up!!" The reason he had a scene cutting his hair was because he needed it cut for a play he was in. They brought up Kim Zimmer, and he laughed gleefully, saying "she's my favorite."

She was really gruff with him when they met, then she softened up and hugged him and said "good to have you, kid" and he said "good to be here." He told us "I knew right then it was love at first sight."

He explained that the Wednesday "In The Light" episodes are shot over about a week and a half, broken up because of "sets and stuff," and take about 3 days to do. He said "it's a great idea. And they're well-written, or it wouldn't make sense." He said there are also a lot of great actors at GL, that make it work.

The first real love scene of Jon and Tammy took two days. The first day was "sweet, but it wasn't appropriate. The second day we added a little more of the stuff that makes it Jonathan and Tammy." He said that is a great story because it's "kinda wrong." Some viewers write in that they love it, but others write in "stay away from your cousin!!"

Three of his friends from college are making a new movie he is in. They've filmed a trailer, and are looking for investors. The director is Bob Clark ("Christmas Story" "Porky's") It will be called "Spring Broke."

Asked what he was like as a child, he said he was the first child, and was always running around naked, or in his Superman pajamas. He looked very proud of his Superman pajamas.

He started acting in high school. One of the teachers was his mentor. He said "teachers are everything." This teacher was a martial artist, so Tom started martial arts. He had a ponytail, so Tom wanted to grow his hair long. He rode a motorcycle, so now Tom has one, too. He rides it in New York, but it's okay, he wears a helmet.

Very enjoyable interview.
