This interview took place in the Spring of 2005.
Doug Hutchison was so much different from Sebastian it was downright strange to watch him.



Guiding Light is his first soap job. He has been in several movies, including "Green Mile."



He was contacted by his friend, Ellen Wheeler, GL Executive Producer.



He was happy to move back to New York after spending 13 years in Los Angeles.



His grandmother was a long-time GL viewer, and was always asking
"Dougie, when are you going to be on my story?,"
even though he had been acting with Tom Hanks, Val Kilmer and Sean Penn.



He told the hosts that "grandma is probably dancing in heaven with
Jesus and the Saints, watching Guiding Light on the Celestial Network."



He said that he has become very defensive about soap work with his film actor friends
who think it's easy. He tells them to "try it for three days."

He enjoys having a darker role to play, something he can sink his teeth into,
but the "challenge is to make a villain human."
He smiles a lot, and is very polite and gentlemanly. It's something you definately notice.
