One week after she returned to ATWT she met her future husband. Her girlfriend asked her to go on a "girl's night out," but said her brother-in-law and his cousins might join them later. Around midnight, he came in with "a bunch of big Irish guys. I beelined for him right away." He was "adorable" and "cute." Now, "I can't do anything without him." Relating to us that her husband, a Bronx police sergeant, was injured in a shooting on New Year's Eve, ('05/'06) she started to cry.


They now have two sons, and are expecting a girl in June (2006) When Martha is not working she is very "suburban." She is a lunch mom, does crafts, "all that." She looks at motherhood as the hardest, but most important, job in the world.


She loves everyone on the show, and working with people she has known for years. She says if it was a bank, they would all be fired for inappropriate behavior.


She thinks of success as being happy, not how much of a career one has. She wakes up happy, and goes to bed at night happy, and is happy in between. To her, that is the ultimate sign of success.
