Wow, this is a really beautiful woman with a megawatt smile. You would really need to see this show to know what I mean. Still photos don't do her justice, and neither does her character, Meg Snyder. This is a July, 2006 interview.


She talked for some time about ATWT and her co-stars. Co-host Ty Treadway remarked that he was in the cast of One Life To Live with Roger Howarth (Paul Ryan) and found him to be very reclusive, staying in his dressing room when not before the camera. Marie said he was preparing, he is very serious. Asked about whether she preferred Roger or Grayson McCouch (Dusty Donovan) she said they were both great to work with, but she liked her own character better with Paul. Meg was too "needy" with Dusty and is more capable now. She was asked how she felt about the romatic scenes on soaps, and said they are awkward, since you have to worry about angles, lights, and elbows and all that. She said Kathleen Widdoes (Emma Snyder) eased her through her first day, as her scenes were with her and, "she made it so easy." She also mentioned Martha Bryne (Lily Snyder) and Elizabeth Hubbard (Lucinda Walsh) as helpful to her.


She is addicted to the Soduko puzzles, in which you fill in numbers, and they add up to certain numbers. She said they will be calling her to the set and she is going "just a minute, one minute." She always feels like she has to finish what she starts. She also will stay through a really bad movie until the end, for the same reason.


I was surprised to learn that Marie was born in Athens, Greece. She came to the United States at the age of 4. She seldom cooks Greek food, but she does love it ("I love food!!") She didn't have a Greek wedding, either. Growing up she was taking dancing lessons, and being all feminine and girlish.... and climbing trees and being a tomboy.


All three participants in the interview were wearing taps on their shoes, and Marie tried to teach them some simple steps (which didn't work) then demonstrated her own dancing, which was very, very good. She says it is mostly all in the toes... and the attitude. Here are the other two after they gave up all hope.
