In this 2005 interview, Martha Byrne appeared warm and friendly. She has a charming sense of self without conceit. She was wearing very little makeup, and was just beautiful.



She has played Lily Snyder for 20 years, and so spoke of having "grown up" with Jon Hensley (Holden) and thus how hard the breakup scenes were on ATWT. She has had seven Emmy nominations, winning two. The first was at 17 years old, and the latest one in 2001. She played both Lily and her twin, Rose, for four years.



She showed two photos of her family: First, she and her husband and their oldest son.



Next, her two sons. The youngest one, Max, is the one whose birth was featured on "Baby Story." (Those DQ photos are at DQ 2) Possibly her beautiful sons are the reason she choked up when speaking about her years-long work for St. Jude's Hospital.



At the end of the interviewMartha sang a song of her own composition.



She did not sound well, as she usually does on ATWT.
Perhaps it was the song, but It wasn't her best effort. She did say she was nervous.



This was a very pleasant Soap Talk appearance.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Martha better.
