One Page Stories

After Toad's Hollow, I started a writing project.

I should explain that my best friend and worst enemy is my scattered imagination. There are always a million and a half stories and images running through my head. The problem is, when I start writing one of the stories down, another grabs hold of me and pulls me in the opposite direction. As you can see, I sometimes have a hard time completing anything.

So, to help me overcome this, I decided to write "One Page Stories." I'd have a mere page to introduce characters, create a problem and come to resolution.

My original goal was to write at least one story a day, everyday no matter what. And, I started out OK… but over time, I've realized that one story a day might be too much.

It's been almost a year now, and I'm still doing at least one a month (mostly). I enjoy it immensely but wonder how readers will feel- being pulled in a myriad of directions; Dramas, horror, comedy, etc.

If anything, it's been most helpful in direction, and better yet in habit formation.

So, here we go!
