This tutorial is fairly easy although you need to know the basics of ImageMagick to make this work. This is how this tutorial works! I supply the first image which is a set of hands. You can do what ever you want with them including resizing them to fit your needs. You will find your hands right here

I used a little bunny for my second image which you can see right here This is the final image that I did when I put the hands image and the bunny together. final image

You decide what other image you would like to add to these hands. Once you have decided you can take them to ImageMagick or click on this handy list of ImageMagick sites by Col  Col's List

One thing that I should say is that the image you use with your hands should be transparent. That way you won't see an aweful background behind your image and on your hands.

Alright lets get started! CC/P the URL to the hands and take it to ImageMagick and paste it in the box for the URL then click view. Once it loads then click on the Composite tab above. Add the URL to your second image in the URL box. Now below you will find the drop down menu called the Gravity box. In that box I put in North as my location. In the Offset box I stayed with the numbers that were already in there, +0+0. This turned out to be exactly where I wanted that little bunny to be. Not knowing the image that you pick it is impossible for me to suggest a location or numbers to you.You just have to experiment and play with the numbers.

Once you have your 2 images exactly where your want them to be you can then click on the Output tab at the top of the page. Next you will come across the image format box. Highlight JPG for the correct format. Scroll down and you come to the Storage type. Make sure that the little dot just to the left of Single file.

For those of you that need a little help with ImageMagick and how it works you can check out Joshua-Lee's Composite tutorial right right here or Siggiez Composite Over an Image right here

The ImageMagick Tutorial Templates below is not a working tool but a Teaching Templates. Each of the tabs do work. Just click on each tab and it will bring you to a page that explains that particular function.

In addition to those pages you can also find a variety of ImageMagick tutorials on my Image Tutorials page right here or our HTML_Help group's tutorials right here
