Hello All! Welcome to our new posters!

Whew! We have so much going on in HPO for October!

Our newest event will be the HPO Haunted Mansion. Each poster creates a one page room for the Mansion (like hall, attic, bedroom, ballroom - outbuildings like barn, shed are okay too) and fills the room with scary things - spooks, witches, skeletons, bats, wolfmen, monsters. Once completed post your room to our HPO newsgroups to thrill and scare our visitors. Donald is going to put up to 24 of the best rooms into a slideshow presentation. The staff will have prizes for the best 2 rooms.

Then we will also have our traditional HPO Halloween Site Fest for longer sites or sites that don't fit the "room of the Haunted Mansion" concept. These site will be posted on a voting page for the regulars to vote on. Watch for a site submit page to be posted soon! Voting takes place 25th to 30th, with the winner announced on the 31st.

For our traditional Halloween sig parade, we've added a little twist. We have invited a guest judge to select the three best sigs. Watch for a thread to be posted about the 29th, called Halloween Sig Contest. The winner will also be announced on the 31st.

With all the activities going on, we will continue to offer opinions on sites posted. In fact posting for opinions is an excellent opportunity to get a walk through of you site to make sure everything is working. It also get's posters (voter's) familiar with your site and work.

HI FOLKS,

      CAN YOU SAY WINDY? LOL. I GREW UP AROUND CHICAGO AND THEY CALL THAT THE WINDY CITY. I NEVER SAW WINDS LIKE I'VE SEEN AROUND HERE LATELY UP THERE LOL. IT WAS A INTERESTING EXPERIENCE TO GO THROUGH ALL THOSE HURRICANES I HOPE THATS IT FOR THIS YEAR THOUGH.

      EVERYONE GOT THIER SITES, SIGS ETC READY FOR HALLOWEEN? SHOULD BE A FUN ONE THIS YEAR. I'VE STARTED WORKING ON A COUPLE OF PROJECTS ALREADY. HOPE YOU HAVE TOO.

      REMEMBER IF YOU WANT TO ADD YOUR SITE TO THE BANNER SWAP PROGRAM JUST GET IN TOUCH WITH ME AND WE'LL GET YOU ALL SET UP.

Greetings everyone. The weather here "near fargo" has been the coolest it's ever been for an average this past Summer. The Trees have already been turning color and the snowblowers are on sale down at the hardware store.

Things will be rockin' again this month during the big doings H.P. Octoberfest. Look on the board for a lot of fun things to do and show your stuff. Our thoughts go out to our members in Florida and the Gulf states.

If you have any ideas for HPO activities please submit them to any Staffer.

HI EVERYONE

      OCT IS HERE, AND IT MAKES YOU WONDER WHERE SEPT WENT, IT'S LIKE NOW IT'S HERE AND NOW IT'S GONE.

      I CAN SIT ON MY PORCH AND LOOK UP AND SEE THE TREES CHANGING COLORS AND THE SHRUBS ARE CHANGING IN MY YARD, KNOWING THAT PRETTY SOON IT WILL BE TOO COOL TO BE SITTING OUTSIDE, SO THESE ARE THE LAST FEW DAYS TO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS WITHOUT COATS ON.

      THIS IS GETTING TO BE MY KIND OF WEATHER, MOST OF THE HEAT IS GONE, AND I CAN START GOING TO THE FLEA MARKETS WITHOUT THE SUN BEATING DOWN ON ME. I LOVE WALKING AROUND LOOKING FOR BARGAINS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO CATCH MY EYE AND MEETING PEOPLE. STOPPING AND HAVING COFFEE AND STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN, NOW THEY HAVE ENOUGH THERE WHERE YOU CAN STAY AND SPEND THE ENTIRE DAY.

      ALSO THE COLD WEATHER MEAN MORE TIME ON THE LLB, LIKE I "NEED" MORE TIME ON HERE, I'M ALREADY ON HERE MOST OF THE DAY AS IT IS. IT HAS EVEN "CAUSED" ME TO GAIN WEIGHT.

      HALLOWEEN IS JUST ABOUT HERE, AND THE KIDS WILL BE GOING UP AND DOWN THE STREET ALL DRESSED UP IN THEIR SCARIEST COSTUMES WITH THEIR LITTLE BAGS, YELLING OUT "TRICK OR TREAT", I DO REMEMBER THOSE DAYS!!       THAT'S IT FOR NOW, UNTIL NEXT TIME,

Hi Otter Minions.

Still under the weather with the flu. I bet I caught it from a Weasel passing through town. They have such little disregard for Otters, er, others.

There's lots going on in October so be sure to do whatever you can. We need your participation.

Those of you who have been wondering about little "Seaweed" keep you're gaze on the board. :)
