My Name is Sarah (Sari for short) I am 60 years old, I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Penna. I still live here, I have never lived anywhere else, I love to travel but there is no place like comng back home. I am a diehard Steeler football fan, that is the only sport that I like.

I was married young at 18 now divorced, have two sons, Arnel who is 40 and a Chef and has 3 childern and Cornell, who I call Leslie, who is 38 and has 2 children, and also works in a restaurant.

HOW I FIRST GOT STARTED ON THE WEB

A friend and I went to our local community colledge one year so that I could learn Word Perfect, and that really peaked my intrest in being on the pc.

I was always going to the library, and they started getting in pc's and a young man showed me how to get an email addy and how to get into the chat rooms. and I would go down 3-4 times a week, only thing was you had to sign in and out and only had 30 mintues of time to use the pc's.

One day someone asked me if I had a webtv and I asked her what it was and she told me and that weekend, I had seen one on sale in the Sunday paper and I went and bought one and it's the regular classic and i'm still using it today and that was a little over 7 years ago, and it is still going strong, I will not get rid ou it until it drops dead. And that is how I got started with the web.

MY HOBBIES

I love to garden, I love getting in the dirt and planting vegetables and flowers and watching things grow, and eating what I have grown, I love lots of flowers, up until 20 years ago I was doing lots of planting, until I found out I had Spinal Stenosis, and that is where the spinal column is closing in around the spine.

Sometimes I plant a few flowers, by sitting on a pillow on the ground and scoot along, but I can't work in my garden anymore.

I love to travel, I will jump on that dog (Greyhound Bus) in a heartbeat going somewhere. :-) I like crotcheting, I just like working with my hands.

I love to cook and collect recipes, I got that trait from my Mother, I have so many cookbook and recipes that I have cut out from newspapers and magazines and have them in boxes and stuck everywhere, the kitchen is my all time favorite room. Right now i'm beginning to work on my 2nd cookbook and it is going to be bigger than the first.

And the "WEB" I don't know what I would do with out it, I am on here all hours of the day and night, I cannot even imagine my life without it now, I have made so many wonderful life time friends and I have been all over the world right from my chair, it has made a big difference in my life.

THE HPO GROUP

This group have welcomed me with opened armes and made me feel very welcome. I came to this group by way of Nina (Linda), she had told me about the HPO group and then I started lurking after she sent me the addy. I was sharing my pages with her, we share with each other, and she was asking a questions about my page in group and someone posted that I could come in and ask questions and that is how I got started in the group.

This group has given me the incentive to keep going, there was so many time that I was going to just stop cold turkey, now I feel like I can be that energizer bunnie and just keep going and going, all thanks to this group, I have learned and still learning, it is always an on going process.
