Thank you for asking me to be the December Featured poster. I was very surprised to be selected, since I am a relatively new member. My thanks to Margie who told me about this great group. I always read the posts, and try to participate as much as I can. The special events have encouraged me to try new things, and I have learned a lot from the Page "wizards" at HPO.

I bought my first LBB in 2000, and was hooked right away. When I discovered Premade Sigs I drove my PC friends crazy with graphics that didn't work for them, or midis that froze their computer. LOL. So I began to visit Web TV news groups so I could use the Sigs. I met lots of people there who were so friendly and helpful. Finally a year ago, after viewing all the wonderful things that could be done with our LBB, I decided it was time I tried writing my own Sigs. That meant learning HTML. It seemed impossible that I could ever understand all that stuff. I have learned quite a lot since then, but have a long way to go. I am so grateful for the help I was given by members of the Web TV community.

I discovered that writing poetry on my keyboard was easier than on paper so I began writing poems. My poems reflect my life the past few of years. The happy and the sad times. I wrote my first Web Page containing the poems. "Words From My Heart".
My faith in the Lord is first in my life so I have also made a Web page of cards featuring Proverbs from the Bible. I call it "Wisdom Words".

Perhaps I should also tell a little about my "Real Life". I was married for 27 years to a wonderful man. Sadly he died of a sudden heart attack in 1979, when we were both just 45. I have 3 children and 8 exceptional grandchildren. They are scattered over California, Wyoming and Colorado.

I lived on the coast all my life, so when I retired 6 years ago, I decided I had enough of fog, cold and dampness. I moved to this high desert country in the Eastern Sierra and I have never regretted my decision for one minute. The High Sierra Mountains surround this valley, and it seems like paradise to me. The ever changing landscape amazes me with each new season. The elevation is about 4500 feet and we get occasional snow. This small town has a population of 3500, and everyone is friendly here. The area is known for good fishing, rock climbing, hiking and skiing. Maybe I should work for the Chamber of Commerce.

I used to have hobbies like scrapbooking, and making my own cards with rubber stamps, but right now my hobby is my LBB. My photos are stored in boxes and my friends and family get store bought cards. Maybe someday I'll get back to them. In the meantime, my little dog Teddy and I live in a nice mobile home with a meadow and creek right in our backyard. There are cattle in the meadow and the Mallard ducks bring their babies to the creek to swim in the Spring. I'm living life to the fullest, and enjoying some part of every day. I am truly blessed.
