Hi,my name is Tom and it is a honor to be HPO's Featured Poster for the month of April 2004.
I live in North-central Wisconsin in a little town called Antigo.It is about 100 miles west of Green Bay GO PACKERS!!!!!! I was born in Chicago and my family moved to Wisconsin when I was very young. I am the 2nd youngest of 7.I am 47 and divorced.I have 2 children,a son,Tom who will be 20 this month and a daughter,Elizabeth who just turned 17 in February.
I served in the Navy from 1976-1980.I was stationed on the USS Fort Fisher homeported in San Diego,California.While I was in the Navy I visited many places. Singapore.Thailand,Japan,South Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines, Guam, Hawaii, Mexico to name some. I was nominated several times while on my ship for "Sailor of the Month".
After I got honorably discharged from the Navy I began working at a local motel in my home as a maintenance man and after 6 years became assistant manager. 
I left the Motel business in October 1988 to begin working at a new factory, Plaspack USA, in town that makes plastic mesh fruit and vegetables bags,More than likely if you bought a mesh bag of Sunkist Oranges we made the bag.We also made shade cloth,wind screen and garden fence as ell as some other speciality items.I was the 10th person hired and we now have over 100 employees.I began as a machine operator,moved to mechanic, then inspector,next was Shipping/Receiving and for the last 4 years I moved to the office as Inventory Control Specialist.
Back in 1996 I started using the local library's computer to go online.I did this until 1999 when I saw ads for webtv and finally in August I bought one and have been hooked up ever since.
One of the first things people ask my is what does my email name (Knackelflerg) mean. Well I am a big Neil Diamond fan and the name is a Neil song title from 1968.
It didn't take long for me to decide on what I wanted to make my first webpage about.I looked all over the web for information on Neil Diamond's life and career and only found small pieces on his life and the usual info on career.So I went to pagebuilder and began building my first site.It has gone through many transformations in the past 4 years ,the biggest being moved from pagebuilder to it's current location at 250free.com.My Neil site was featured in the June 2002 MSNTV members newsletter.
I found HPO the same time I was making my Neil website and posted in it and asked opinions on what to do to improve it etc.And I continue to post my new website in HPO to get their opinions.I have become friends with quite a few HPO members along with others people throughout the web.
In my free time when I am not on the web I like to go hiking,visit museums,go to concerts and movies,listen to music.I like to listen to all types of music and my music range is from Classical to Country with everything in between.About the only music I do not like is hip-hop/rap.
I have a very large Neil Diamond collection that includes some rare and unique items.I also collect seagulls/light houses and frogs.I am always updating my Neil page and have made several other Neil related pages (Some in collaboration with other Neil fans).Have quite a few ideas for new pages I want to make.
