The "dog days" of summer are here, and I am doing my best to stay cool.

Otherwise, things are pretty quiet around here, and I'm getting to watch some of the Olympic games in Beijing. I am disappointed that the Lithuanian basketball team, always a contender for the gold (they won three bronzes in recent Olympics) will be playing without their starting center. He plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they are not allowing him to play for his country in the Olympics. I think that is really unfair

Howdy Howdy to all our members and lurkers. I see you out there.

We here in Michigan have had a very beautiful summer. Temps have been around the 80-85 degrees. A few days of 90 but not many. Sure hate to see it end.

I have enjoyed myself immensely. Been to quite a few picnics. Also, our local ampitheater has had free concerts every Monday and Tuesday night. I have been to most of those.

Hope your summer has been nice and fun-filled.

I have enjoyed seeing your new sites on the vacations you have taken. Especially since I did not take one this year.

I am working on two new sites that have been in the planning stages for about a year now. Hope to have them finished in a few weeks.

By the way, we will be having a Labor Day Sig parade. So, get them ready. Also, we will have our annual Halloween Site Fest. More to come on that. So be prepared. Get your thought processes going. You can't let Butch win everything. Looks like he's headed for the gold. What a talented member.

Hi Everyone,

    Here it is August already and summer is beginning to wind down, but we still have a few more hot days to go.

    I have been working on some puzzles to keep busy, i've been doing the 1000 piece ones then I went to the 550 piece ones and I was putting them together too fast, so I went back to the 1000 piece ones.

    Other than doing them going out to dinner and the movies, I haven't been doing too much lately, sometimes I will go down I the lobby and talk to the guard, because I know that he gets lonesome sometimes.

    There really is nothing to report this month hopefully there will be more next month.
