~ FYI ~ April 2008
BRUCE~ SECRETARY
I opened up my mouth like a small bird, and not a peep came out. So why? Was I having a stroke? A heart attack? Was Norman standing on my oxygen line again? MAYBE THIS WAS THE BIG ONE! Thankfully, I live just a few miles from the VA and it was the afternoon and and Jeannie was home. I mumbled like I had a mouth full of marbles and I was getting pretty scared.
I had just started getting some pain meds that weren't working yet and the ER Dr. figures I was having some sort of reaction to the medication. (There goes my pending pain treatment.) He also took a KITTY scan as a precaution.
In the past few weeks I have gradually gotten a lot but not all of my speech patterns back. Unfortunately, my Kitty Scan showed something, (NO TUMOR) and I returned last mid-week for a MRI in a Semi-truck that travels among the hospitals. I am still waiting for the results. It's faster for me to have Jeannie get them from the records Department than to wait for a letter after the Dr. sees it. I like to know what's going on if I can.
So.... We're all hoping it's some sort of anomaly or a long term don't worry about it kind thing.
I'm sure that MAY will bring a much more sunny report.
post...... Post...... POST! Bruce.

Hi Everyone,
Here we are into April already, I think that our cabin fever is about ready to come to an end, and then again we have had frost in May, but i'm hoping not.
I finally went upon the apt roof to see what it was like, and it is very nice, nice furniture, I know that i'm going to like lounging up there this spring.
I have finished my 1000 piece puzzle and I got all the way to the end and a few pieces didn't fit, iI tried to shuffle them around, but it didn't do any good.
I plan on getting another one and I will see what happens with that one,I have already taken this one apart and put it in the box.
I have went back to working on my website, I guess that one day I will be finish with it, I have to work on it when the mood strike me.
That's all for now, more next time.

With all this rain we've been getting, it sure feels like April. (No surprise to me, since it says "April" on my calendar - along with that most gloomy of days, April 15, smack in the middle of it:-( I just spoke with my accountant, and I have great news! I will NOT be doing any time in prison this year:-)) Which gives me more time to catch up on Webtv and HPO events. The newsgroup is thriving, and we are glad that Scarlet has been able to join us again after a long absence. I hear that Norm is trying to "weasel" his way into a free vacation trip this fall. We'll just have to keep our eyes open.
Now, I will just sit back, have some carrot cake, and enjoy my favorite season of the year - Spring, with all the flowers and trees coming back to life. I hope you do too!

Greetings Otter Minions...... Ever since Bruce had his attack whatever it was, Seaweed has been sleeping on top of his head at night trying to stay awake to see if he can catch blood vessels bursting or something. Now he has to sleep all day.
Some of may know I filled in for the groundhog here in our area and predicted a long line of snowing into mid-April and that has come to pass with an additional 3 feet just yesterday (8th) about 50 miles East of here and a foot or so here. I can't go anywhere lately without people throwing snowballs at me.
Bruce has been off the board till lately and so have I and the Weed. Hoping to catch up again as quick as we can.
Miss you all. Norman & Seaweed.

Hi to all our new posters and a wink to the lurkers. April is here with all it's showers and flowers. Winter is now over (or should be). Time to get outside and clean the yards, wash the windows and exercise the winter pounds off. I will be doing some walking as weather permits. Hope all of you do too. It's so good smelling the fresh air after being couped up all winter. I want to thank everyone for submitting their sites. You do awesome work. I, certainly, enjoy seeing each and every one of them. We have quite a few plans for the coming summer and hope you will enjoy being a part of everything. There will be a sig parade to honor Mother, so get your best sig ready and show her how much you care. By the way, if you have any suggestions for things you would like to do, please let us know. This is your group and we would like to hear your ideas.
