CHERYL ~

I enjoy reading anything by Louisa May Alcott and Jane Austen, as well as the "Little House On The Prairie" books and many other classics. Of course, as a Christian, the Bible is the most important Book in my life, and read many Christian-oriented books as well. I enjoying writing poetry and short stories, and am currently working on a Christian gothic romance novel.

I love almost all types of music, from country to rock, but my favorite type of music is good old '50s rock'n roll. It was before my time, but I feel a strong connection to it, and it's the music of my heart and soul. Some of my favorite acts include Sawyer Brown, Sam Harris, Sting and The Police, and '50s revival group Sha Na Na, especially the group's angel-voiced tenor Johnny Contardo, my favorite singer.

We got WebTV in the late 90's, an old Classic, which was our first real introduction to the amazing world of the internet. We loved the ease of e-mail, newsgroups, and just surfing favorite sites in the comfort of our living room chairs! I ultimately created my homepage on Geocities, using a template at first, then as I learned the basics of HTML went on to redo it from scratch.

Around 2001, I got back into the avid Sha Na Na fandom of my young adult years, and after chatting with fellow fans at the now-defunct Yesterdayland site, I decided to create a Yahoo fan group and a fan website dedicated to the group, as well as ones especially for Johnny Contardo.

I heard from Johnny after an old friend of his sent him the site, we started corresponding, and he actually did me the honor of asking me to create his official site http://www.johnnycontardo.com as well!

Jason and I had the very exciting opportunity to go on a ten-day Alaskan cruise last May, and while we may never get the chance to take a vacation like that again, it was the trip of a lifetime that we will never forget!

A while ago, Jason mentioned this great newsgroup that he participated in, and told me I should check it out. And I'm so glad I did! Thanks to the amazing staff and all the posters who are unfailingly warm, friendly and helpful. Your friendship is very much appreciated, God bless you all
