Adam Petty

We are all very saddened today with the passing of a young man who had so much potential and so much to live for. Adam Petty, who was only 19 years old, died after his car hit the wall at New Hampshire International Speedway during a practice run for the Busch Series race.
Adam was the fourth generation of the most well known family in NASCAR.
We don't dwell on it, but I think that every true NASCAR fan has it in the back of their mind that. at any given time that any of our drivers are out on the track, there is always a chance of that fatal wreck.
I don't believe that any racecar driver considers driving just another job. They are dedicated to what they do. It is in their blood. They know of the dangers, but the love for the sport is far more important to them.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Petty family, Adam's friends and crew, and his fans.
