Shear and Roll

To me, the shear and roll technique is like a roller coaster ride. Both are located under transform at Image Magick. Anything is possible with this combination. You can create simple beauty to wild craziness. Out of this world realities or add a touch of class to any image. It's up to you!

Here is a simple example of what is possible using shear and roll.


Original

Shear +45x-20
(This will change the image's height/width)



Paint/Replace/Color=cornflowerblue and click on any white portion of the image.



Roll +100+20



Resize to 288x306

Comp/Multiply with this next image.

Gothic

I then added a 25x25+5+5 frame.
