2008 EMMYS RED CARPET and AWARDS


To be truthful, the 2008 Emmys were not as good. Beginning out at the Red Carpet, where I watched all the Ricky Paull Goldin parts, but the stars of GL and ATWT were not prominent. The other emcees were pretty annoying, and there was a lot of other stuff we don't usually go through, like a singer named Jordan Pruitt, a backstage tour that was really a promo for All My Children, and a spotlight segment of Heather Tom's designer. We got small windows next to parts of interviews, where we saw just the tops of the dresses. And when I did see a whole dress, it was usually pretty awful. The stage inside wasn't as nice either.

First, Red Carpet photos. Below you see Ricky interviewing Nicole Forester. Most of the interview was lost when the mike faltered, then died. She did get to tell us that she didn't try to be like Laura Wright when she took over the Cassie role. She said she just did her job.



Rebecca Budig, who used to play Michelle Bauer on GL, and is now on All My Children, interviewed Roger Howarth, his daughter and Marie Wilson. Not much to report. These are not in-depth interviews.





Judi Evans, who at one time was Beth Raines on GL, and is now on Days of Our Lives, attended with her son. She made it clear that she adores him. The huge flower on the front of RB's dress is an example of the fashion problems.



Rebecca's next interview from one of DQ's shows was with Trent Dawson and Kelley Menighan Hensley, who looked gorgeous. This was one of many that involved discussion of our California heat wave. Trent pointed out, good naturedly, that everyone was "miserable, just miserable."





ATWT's stars Van Hansis and Jake Silberman seemed very subdued and quiet, even before Ricky tried to discuss whether kissing on the show was uncomfortable for them. He blew that interview.
