In the Spring of 2010 Noelle Beck (Lily) appeared on HGTV's "Selling New York," a show in which two real estate brokerages sell expensive homes in New York City. You see Noelle talking with an agent in the apartment on this page. She was trying to sell her parents apartment for them, because they never reside there now that they are retired, and she lives in New York. It was costing them $7000 a month to keep it, while they are in either of two places: Palm Beach or the Hamptons. Obviously, they are wealthy.
This apartment is across from Gramercy Park, the last private park, keyed, in New York City. Location is the reason the places are so expensive, and the apartment itself wasn't a "wow" to me. For that much money, I want spa bathrooms, and an indoor pool!! Although, I did like that it's next to the Gramercy Hotel and they could have gourmet food delivered on silver trays!!
The first photo is the entrance to the park, the second is the master bedroom with the financial and descriptive info on it. Farther down the page is a shot from the guest room, which is really bland. The decorating was part of the problem for me.
What happened during the effort to sell was pretty interesting.
Bizarre, really.
You will see what I mean on the next page.
