In 2009 As the World Turns aired a stand-alone episode honoring Valentine's Day. In it, five stories were read to Johnny, the son of Jennifer Munson Donovan and Craig Montgomery. The stories were enacted by members of the ATWT cast. The characters, costuming and dialogue were all a humorous spoof of the characters, their relationships and the storylines on the show at the time.
