A Country Mouse ~ Doll Tale

"How To Bell A Cat"!

A new Ragdoll Cat in this house. What must these people be thinkin'! The mice called a meeting to make a plan to free themselves of their new enemy, Sterling the Ragdoll Cat. At the very least, they wished to find some way of knowing when The Ragdoll Cat was coming, so they would have time to scatter. Indeed something had to be done, for now they lived in constant fear of being chased and the danger of his claws. They hardly stirred from their dens by night or day.

Many plans were discussed, but none of them were thought good enough. At last a young Mouse got up and said: "I have a plan, that seems simple, but I know it will be successful. All we have to do is to hang a bell around the Ragdoll Cat's neck. When we hear the bell ringin' we will know immediately that our enemy is coming".

All of the Mice were very much surprised, that they had not thought of this plan much sooner. But in the midst of all of the rejoicing over their good fortune, an old Mouse arose and said: "I will say that the plan of the young Mouse is very, very good indeed. But let me ask one question: "Who will bell this Ragdoll Cat ?"

Ragdoll Cat believes -the Moral of this tale is:

"It is one thing to say that something should be done, but quiite different matter to do it."
