"A Prayer"
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hear us this day as we pray
For we are in need, in very deep need
Of your grace today
As it is, and always is
we need it now so much more
Uphold the hurt, the weary
Your people of this world
May all know your abundant blessings
And see them gloriously unfurled
We come to you in humble prayer
And we thank you, thank you, Lord
Please comfort the souls downtrodden
The brotherhood of man
Uphold all people, we beseech you
Guide us with your hand
For we are all your people
Living in this land
Guide us to a peace profound
Help us to understand.
Give us rest, dear Father
Give all the will to carry on
For you are ever-present
your glory is always at hand
Hear us, O Lord, we implore you
Bless us, help us, carry our hearts
For you are the Master of this Universe
And master of our hearts
Help us to know that in Your time
Our sorrow will slowly heal
Allow us now to receive Thy Grace
Allow us all to feel
Be with us, Lord, and guide us
through your endless light
We ask for your mercies from above
Lead us out of the path of evil
And bless us
with Thy Holy Love.
May Thy will be done on earth
As it is in Heaven!
