Here in the central part of Vermont the growing season is limited... surrounded by the Green Mountain National Forest and located smack dab in the middle of what Vermonters call the Snow Belt... is Flit's Gardens. We have 5 Seasons here... Summer... Autumn... Winter... Spring... and Mud... I kiddingly tell people that Summer will be on the 18th of August. The first snow usually hits us around the beginning of October and stays until the beginning of May (sometimes longer)... and we have had frosts late into June so protecting tender plants is a primary concern.
... in truth, I am not a great gardener... if the nursery didn't put little plant stakes in each pot, I wouldn't have a clue... but I know what is pleasing to the eye and it is these beauties I bring home... if I am not online in the warm months, I am in the gardens... mulching (over 100 bags for 2000 alone)... and weeding... the gray crushed gravel walkways are in constant need of a 'weed patrol', thanks to the gentle breezes that ripple the air... 1 pot of Daisies will multiply a thousand fold in 2 years and they will grow anywhere!
