"If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again."

He was my big brother... the brother who taught me how to dance... the brother who showed me to not be afraid of being myself... the brother who always let me tag along to the movies when I was too young to go by myself... the brother who let me double date when Mom and Dad said I had to have a chaperone... and he was my friend. For the longest time, I could not watch the video "Philadelphia" because he worked at a law office and to this day, I have only viewed it once. I miss him very much for he has left a deep void that will never be filled.

God saw that he was getting tired and a cure was not to be;
So He put His arms around him and whispered, "Come with Me."
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade.
Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.
A loving heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to show us He only takes the Best.

When through one man a little more love and goodness,
a little more light and truth come into the world -
then that man's life has had meaning.
