"A Present For Santa"
I can hear them quietly trippin' around
Putting my nightgown on at the sound
There's not quite really mornin' light yet
But the children are anxious to see I bet
Catching them sneaking silently around
Enjoying their glee an seeing them bound
To our tree to see if Santa's been here
Knowin' this day will be full of good cheer
Milk glass is empty and cookies are gone
Looks like St.Nick's been here'fore dawn
Through the stormy fridgid weather and all
Seeing presents the kids are havin' a ball
Time to put on coffee an me to freshin' up
I can hardly wait to have a steamin' cup
First, back to the bed with a sigh an yawn
To shake out the sheets of cookie crumbs
spread before dawn!
