It's Here!!

I lay abed warm and snug not quite awake
So lazily comfy coffee will have to wait
Reflecting upon family friends an lovers
Not wanting to rise from under the covers

But I can feel it, so silently approaching
Just as the eerie early light is encroching
I like all, am helpless to resist this spirit
Fostering love an a willingness to share it

This spirit that brings forth from with-in
In all hearts, that peace an love can win
And encircles our world in good cheer
Christmas morning has now arrived here

Hearing the children tip-toeing around
Quickly from the warm sheets I bound
For our day begins with fun and giving
An filled with salutations of good tiding

Under Christmas trees with garlands golden
Colorful boxes an gifts will be just a token
Of wishes for peace, love and good cheer
And hope this spirit lives thru out the year
