I was very touched by these pages. I think that it is very hard to look at these pictures, read the words, and listen to the music without shedding a tear. My heart goes out to those who suffered personal losses on Sept 11. I can't help thinking that could have been me or my family and I am so lucky that it wasn't. I thank God everyday for sparing my loved one and pray for those who weren't as lucky. I am proud to be an American.

I am the father of 13 sons and one daughter. (11 Adopted 3 homemade). I have seen my adult children in tears recently, contemplating what kind of a world their children will know. Thank you for the comprehensive documentation of what has happened, where we are and what we must do. Dietrich Bonhofer a famous German Theologan was jailed for being involved in a plot to assasinate Hitler. When questioned how he as a Christian could be involved in such a scheme, he replied, "If I see a mad man driving wrecklessly down a road crowed with children I have a duty to stop him".

On the day of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, I was in school, I am only 12 , and had not truly understood what had happened at first... But as I got home it sank in as I saw the planes hit the WTC, I was filled with many emotions at once. Sadness, rage, hate, and fear. But even at my young age I know that this was a great loss, and I pray for all the friends and famliy lost on September 11th. I also know that America will rise from the ashes. Thank you Matt Wright for really bringing this into perspective, may God bless us all.

I loved your web page. I thank people like you for reminding people, that we must prevail and we will. How cruel a day September 11th was, that someone could easily take a piece of life out of each and everyone of us so quickly, and still be able to move each day and go about our lives. If there's a hell, I would surely hope God will make sure these awful people pay for their sick and horrible ways. Never a day will go by that I will not remember what that day brought to us and the many lifes that were lost.
You did a wonderful job. Please keep it updated, so I can come back and visit - please.
God Bless us all and keep us safe. May God protect his country and those in it who are called Americans.
Thank you.

God Bless America. Your site is absolutely wonderful. You've said it all but.....

"It is better to light just one little candle,
than to stumble in the dark.
Better far that you light just one little candle,
All you need's a tiny spark.
If we'd all say a prayer that the World would be free,
A wonderful dawn of a new day we'd see
And if everyone lit just one little candle,
What a bright World this would be."

They are inhuman and when we Osama Bin Laden we need to suspend the constitution for a day and burn him and then drop a building on him so he can feel the pain that others felt when they were burnt and had a building collapse on them he deserves it.

This is truly a beautiful work. It must have taken great amounts of skill and time. We here at Cannon are in full support of all efforts to recover from the blow we've all received, and yours is just as grand and touching as the thousands sitting at Ground Zero working on the relief efforts, and the millions giving blood, food, time, help, money.....you name it. To all our troops out there, working to kill the cowardly fanatic losers who've done this to our magnificent nation--be sure to bring him home in a cage when you find him, so the "do unto others" mantra can be exercised on him to the fullest extent possible. Bless you all for your efforts! Sincerely, the Gonzalez family--Janet, Gilbert, Madison and Lauren.

Thank you for making such a wonderful site.It gave me such a heavy heart...and at the same time so proud to be an American with the American spirit you talked about.I don't think some people in this world realize that no matter what they can never take that away from us.American spirit is running red, white, and blue through our blood.I am still amazed that our planet has any wars at all....did people forget how to talk to one another. There is enough land, food, water etc. for everyone. We don't have to like each others beliefs or try to force it on one another with violence.Maybe some cultures can't imagine peace...but dream it...try to live your dream...and who knows.I hope you keep making more websites like this...its good for everyones heart and soul....thank you..Sincerely, Trisha

Thank you for making such a great website. I am really amazed with some of the ones that I have seen but I can honestly say yours was the best I'm seen. I'm only 15 and I know there isn't much I can do but the town I live in little old Iowa is doing all that we can to help. We have raised money by a "Walk-A-Thon" that was the length of the two towers put together and we raised over $6,000. After the President's request of $1 per student to help with the food to children in Afganistan, our student council has asked that everyone bring atleast $1 and if possible bring more than that. I know that is about all we can do being so young and far away but I know it is atleast helping a little. I thank you again for making such a great website. ~bye~

I have not been quite so moved on a "political" level in my life. I am so pleased to see the unity in our people, young and old. The integrety of our people, our strong beliefs, and our love for freedom will prevail!
I believe that God gives certain people certain gifts(Jobs)in which we are able to do and must do in order to fulfil our natural instincts. I do believe you have done yours with this webpage and I respect your work and I will pass it on. God bless you and God bless us all!!! This site has shown me the attitude that prevails over America to have one's head in the sand and live in a state of self-indulgence and ignorance at the expense of others around the world who are suffering from our choice of lifestyle. This time of mourning should make us reflect on why so many others hate us. It is not because of our democracy or perceived freedom which is only for some. Our foreign policy has caused endless suffering and death and loss of freedom for others around the world. Let us want these ideals for all people not just Americans.

I am the wife of a vet and mother of and mother of a son and daughter-in-law on active duty. This has to be the most moving tribute to the atrocities that have taken place, my heart is with the families and friends of the victims of 9-11-01. It's time to stand and be counted. Your either with us or against us. No in between fence walking liberal Jane Fonda type traitors this time around. If America isn't good enough for you, please leave. It's time for all God fearing Flag waving Americans to take our country back. I will stand shoulder to shoulder with any American(black white red yellow) willing to preserve our rights on the principles this Country was fouded. So let Congress woman Cynthia McKinney of GA., whom feels that we are attacking Black Americans as she sides with Osama bin Laden and his band of cut throats. Hats off to whomever put this together. I just hope that somehow, whomever is still out there that was a part of this attack sees this, and gets the point. Their people want to whine about a few hundred dead over there. Have they stopped at all to think about our THOUSANDS dead. And to those who are busy protesting our "strike back", I surely hope that the next time they hit us, it isn't one of your family that jumps out of a high rise, or disintegrates from flames and explosion. May the good Lord be with us and give our troops strength and courage for the price tag of our freedom.

I am amazed how much and how strongly we have come together to help the people in NY & Washington.I wondered how I could help? Sure I gave my left over change to the relief fund at the store, but I see people having garage sales & donating all the money to NY, or friends calling in donations to the celebrity hotline during & after the special. Some have been donating precious blood, and even going overseas to help in the fight against terrorism.I relized that a lot of organizations are also donating to the cause. We are all focused on Ny,Washington & PA. Lets not forget about the people in our neiborhoods & communtities who still need our help and compassion.I am helping America by volunteering locally, donating slightly used items, and being friendly & curtious to ALL others.
Its not God Bless NY, Washington & PA, its God Bless America. God Bless Us ALL !!!!

This was an absolutely wonderful, and touching tribute to the heroes of September 11th, and to the American spirit. I hope that we all, as proud Americans, will never forget the events that have touched the lives of people all over the world. From the ashes we rise like the Phoenix. We will overcome, learn, grow, and become stronger as individuals, as people, as a country, as a whole. They can take away our lives, but they cannot take our pride, or our spirit.

I have lived in this country all my life taking our freedom and luxuries for granted. On Sept. 11, all that changed, and reviewing your website today, confirmed how precious this country is. I have never felt such hatred toward anyone or anything as the loathing I feel toward Osama bin ladden and his terrorists cells. For the first time in my life, I would not think twice about killing a human being. In this instance, I believe God would forgive me.

It's a pity you can't understand the principles we stand by, because all you do is kill and lie. I am very proud to be an American and I am also proud to have a man, such as Bush, in the White House that believes in God and also fears him. We as Americans need to come back to God, this is how our country was founded.....in God we trust. I pray that God will give Mr. Bush wisdom and knowledge in the days to come to do what God expects him to do. We that are Americans should remember that this is a wake-up call and that God is loving and kind.....but he is also a jealous God...that will have no other gods before him. Absolutely awesome display. We must all remember what it means to be an American. I have been so very moved by the united spirit in our country in the past weeks. I truly believe that the monsters who did this thought that they would destroy us. How unfortunate for them that they mistook our happy-go-lucky spirit for weakness. This nation was founded by people who refused to tolerate the very same conditions that terrorists are trying to inflict upon us right now. Think we're ready to give that up? Watch and see. A most magnificent and beautiful tribute to those innocent people and heroes that died. AMERICA IS THE BEST! I am so proud to be an American. This site says it all! You people who did this horrendous act have lost your humanity and thus you placed yourselves lower than cockroaches and rats. We have a guy here in America called, the ORKIN MAN. He only exterminates vermin. The American Military Force has just taken his place! You don't have long to enjoy life. I do believe you say that you do these violent and evil acts in the name of Allah. You will have a nasty surprise on the other side of life. It will be evn worse over there. John Lennon said it best..."Instant Karma is Gonna Get You"! What a pity. You could have belonged to the Human Family where one grows, loves, learns, trades and evolves in life. That's what we do in America. It's what God wants for us all on the Earth. America will survive and grow stronger. You won't! We are the magnificent Eagle and like the Phoenix we will rise every so stronger from the ashes. But then, how would you know. You're only cockroaches! You've made me even prouder to be an American. God Bless America!

Never before have I sensed that people across this country are "just" people, but true Americans. The whole country has come together as "ONE", something that I thought could only be dreamed about. Our country is not the "Evil Satan" but a country blessed by God. Makes you wonder why we sing "God Bless America." I fully understand now.

Very impressive imagery and a moving letter. As a Christian, one thing which hit me were the words in the photo of the eagle facing us head on with the WTC towers in the background. At the bottom of the photo were two phrases: "Never forget" and "Never forgive" I know we will NEVER forget! However, if God can see His way to forgive me, you, and the rest of the world for our sins (no matter how grievous), I believe I can forgive a terrorist who seeks to be forgiven. Should they receive earthly punishment for the crime? Yes! However, God may see fit (if truly repentant) to grant them eternal life. God bless America and each individual who puts their faith in His Son!

I hope Barry doesn't mind me sharing this email with you. It says it all!

USA,USA,USA!!!!!!

- Broken Arrow, Oklahoma School officials remove "God Bless America" signs from schools in fear that someone might be offended.

- Channel 12 News in Long Island, New York, orders flags removed from the newsroom and red, white, and blue ribbons removed from the lapels of reporters. Why? Management did not want to appear biased and felt that our nations flag might give the appearance that "they lean one way or another.

- Berkeley, California bans U.S. Flags from being displayed on city fire trucks because they didn't want to offend anyone in the community.

- In an "act of tolerance" the head of the public library at Florida Gulf Coast University ordered all "Proud to be an American" signs removed so as to not offend international students.

I, for one, am quite disturbed by these actions of so-called American citizens; and I am tired of this nation worrying about whether or not we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled in New York and Washington D.C. when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. In fact, our country's population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants; however, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some native Americans, need to understand.

First of all, it is not our responsibility to continually try not to offend you in any way. This idea of America being a multi-cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language, and our own lifestyle. This culture, called the " American Way" has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. Our forefathers fought, bled, and died at places such as Bunker Hill, Antietam, San Juan, Iwo Jima, Normandy, Korea, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf, for our way of life. We speak English, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society - learn our language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some off-the-wall, Christian, Right Wing, political slogan - it is our national motto. It is engraved in stone in the House of Representatives in our Capitol and it is printed on our currency. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation; and this is clearly documented throughout our history. If it is appropriate for our motto to be inscribed in the halls of our highest level of Government, then it is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. God is in our pledge, our National Anthem, nearly every patriotic song, and in our founding documents. We honor His birth, death, and resurrection as holidays, and we turn to Him in prayer in times of crisis. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture and we are proud to have Him. We are proud of our heritage and those who have so honorably defended our freedoms. We celebrate Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Flag Day. We have parades, picnics, and barbecues where we proudly wave our flag. As an American, I have the right to wave my flag, sing my national anthem, quote my national motto, and cite my pledge whenever and wherever I choose. If the Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. The American culture is our way of life, our heritage, and we are proud of it. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. We are
Americans, like it or not, this is our country, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion about our government, culture, or society, and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, the right to leave.

How beautiful!!!! I am proud to be an American and your site reminds me why. We have a wonderful country that pulls together when needed, comforts each other in times of grief, and fights for the freedom that we hold so dear. The terrorists are jealous of all that we have and being unable to figure out how to get it they blindly try to destroy it. It's a shame that they couldn't see in advance just what a hornet's nest they have opened up. God have mercy on their souls because America won't!!!!!!!!!!!!

America never ceases to amaze me. We were a generation of kids who had very little pride in our country, up until the fateful day of September 11. Now, I have more pride in my country and all the rest of the American citizens then I ever thought possible. "The Star Spangled Banner" takes on a whole new meaning now. The day of the attacks I actually listened to the words for the first time. It's incredible what we can do. Period. Not in a crisis, not in times of desparation, just what we can do when we are united as citizens of America. We won't run, we won't hide, we will stand proud, waving our flags in the faces of the bastards that did this. We have more pride in our country and God than they will ever have in anything. This site made me cry and thank God that I was born in the United States of America. I will never forget that day, and I will always bleed red, white, and blue. God has blessed America, and may He continue to guide and save us.

This is a wonderful tribute to all those fallen, and a light for those of us left! Terrorists and anti-Americans, know this...WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN, AND THEN WE WILL WIN!!!
