I heard a beep coming from my message monitor. I went in to see, who had sent the message. It was a video segment from the aliens. They wrote that we cannot visit their planet right now, because of radiation level is too high for us to tolerate for long periods of time. They said they were working on the problem and should have it cleared up in a couple of weeks. They needed to see us first to assertain our specific biological requirements. They said they are bio engineering food sources that are compatible with our physiology.
Then, pictures from the Pleiades started to appear over the monitor. I could see how beautiful it was. I could not tell how much of the vegitation was indigineous to the planet and how much was introduced. I could see some modern, sleek, and somewhat attractive tall buildings. I could see small aircraft in the air going between the buildings.
The colony station monitor came on and the colony manager spoke, "Volunteers, we are still analyzing an intrepreting the information given to us by the aliens. We will get back to you by tomorrow with information on your assignments for this mission. I hope it will be one of peace, but we'll proceed with caution. Enjoy the rest of your evening!". The monitor went out and I was completely exhausted, but exhilarated from today's events. I got into bed and fell asleep, instantly. |
