I turned on the 3D holographic television to listen to the news. There was some evidence at SETI that we were being contacted by a foreign intelligent life form. It was coming from our new SETI radio receiver on Mars that was placed there a year ago. They had actually heard the signal immediately after its placement. But the world government wanted to get an idea of their intentions, before releasing the news to the public. They felt that our world's security precluded our right to know, which I couldn't argue with. The message was so difficult to decode that it took a whole year to decipher.
The reporter said "They said their intentions are peaceful and that they are emmisaries sent to help us join the coaliton of advanced races. There are other species less developed than us that are as yet to be asked to join, because the contact at a less developed stage would contaminate their development." He went on to say , "We are at the entry level of intellectual development as we all were at one time, but we
can help you assilimilate into our coalition and eventually, when you're ready, increase your intelligence and intuitive aptitudes. |
