| The first step is to create a webpage for your images and publish that webpage. This will give your images an URL to use in coding. Once, published you'll be given an URL for that webpage. You can write this URL down or use a copy and paste technique to get the URL. To use the copy and paste technique to get a webpage URL, go to that webpage. Press your goto key. Then, press the show current button on your goto key. Now, press cmd and A to highlight. Then, press cmd and C to copy. Now, you have the URL in your goto memory buffer. Next, take the URL of that published webpage to Webscissors or any other image extractor. We'll use Webscissors in this tutorial as an example. Now, put the URL in the input text box by typing it in or pressing cmd and V, if you have it in your goto memory buffer. Press return. You'll see all of the images from that webpage. To see your scrapbook URL, click on the details link. Your scrapbook URL will be given at the top of the page. It should look something like this: http://community-2.webtv.net/YourNic/WebpageTitle/scrapbookFiles/importD5.jpg Always remove the -1, -2 or -3 from the scrapbook URL before using it on a webpage or signature box. The image won't show up, otherwise. The width and height for that image are also given right under the scrapbook URL. Your basic code to add an image to your webpage or email signature box, would be something like this: <img width="?" height="?" src="http://community.webtv.net/YourNic/WebpageTitle/scrapbookFiles/importD5.jpg"> Replace the question marks with the actual width and height of the scrapbook image. Another way to speed up webpage loading time is to find your complete scrapbook URL. Here is Ken Dine's Tutorial on the subject. This is a bit more advanced, but not too hard to learn, once you've mastered the original method. Another method works with your published webpage to find the scrapbook URL.. Each time you go to "add an item" and choose "picture", click on that image to find the image file name. It would be something like importD5_jpg. We want to change the underline to a dot to get a more usable file name. So the image file name that works with Pagebuilder would be importD5.jpg. Type this in your caption line. Press done. Then, republish this page. Now, press on the published webpage link to go directly to your published webpage. Press your goto key. Then, press cmd and A. Next, press cmd and C. Now, press your find key and press cmd and V to paste your webpage URL in the temporary find memory buffer. Erase the -1, -2 or -3 from the URL that you have so far. Next, type scrapbookFiles/ directory after that in your find line section. Now, you're looking at your published webpage. See what the image file name is that you typed in the caption line is. Now, press your find key and type in the image file name. This should complete your scrapbook URL. Now, just press cmd and A, then cmd and C. Now, press your goto key and erase the http:// and then press cmd and V. Press return to go directly to your image. Here's an example of my Buttons published webpage to give you an idea of how it looks. |
