Like pictures in a photo album, I fondly recall the house on Conselyea Street where I was born...My Daddy reading his newspaper in his favorite chair...
My best friends, Angie & Marie ...The shopkeepers who were like
family....
My sister, Rosie, singing her heart out all the time...
The beautiful stone Cathedral Church across the street
the melodious sound of the church bells ringing on a Sunday morning...
Of all these beautiful memories I recall, mostly
~~ I REMEMBER MAMA ~~

Mama was 45 years old when I was born. I was what was called a "Change of Life"baby.I changed everyone's life,LOL.She had 12 children before me. I guess that alone makes her special.
My oldest sister, Mary, was 24 years old and my youngest sister, Rosie, was 10 yrs old, so I was the baby.

I have so many wonderful and sweet memories to recall when I think of her, these are just a few outstanding ones in my memory...
Her name was Filomena and she would become the person I loved most in my life. She had the smile they only give to Angels and the warmth and kindness only she could know...

I use to love watching her cook and the way she would let me help her in the kitchen. It was such a warm and cozy feeling being around her all the time...

I remember the times she would sit with me and have tea parties with me and my doll,"Kathleen"

I remember when she would come up to school to bring my boots and umbrella when it rained
She always had Charms candy in her purse

She was loved by all her Family and Friends...
and even to this day tears still come to my eyes when I think of her...

God took her back home much too soon when I was 10 years old.
However, those memories will last all my lifetime...

Thank you, Mama for being the special Angel you were to me...I Love you...
