Emery "Ed" Edinger

I started my military career in August, 1952.

Basic Training was at Parks AFB, in California, August - September, 1952.

Aircraft Maintains School, at Sheppard AFB, in Texas, September, 1952 - April, 1953.

Served at Ramey AFB, in Puerto Rico, May 1953 - May 1957, working on B36 Aircraft. Ground Crew, and Assistant Crew Chief.

Served at Lake Charles AFB, Louisiana, May 1957 - August 1957, working on KC97 aicraft. Ground Crew.

Served at Bunker Hill AFB, in Indiana, August 1957 - August 1962, working on KC97's and KC135's. Ground Crew, Night Flight Line Controller, and Crew Chief.

Served at Fairfield AFB, in Washington, August 1962 - July 1967, woking on KC135's. Crew Chief, Flight Line Controller, and 135 Alert Flight Chief.

Served at Andrews AFB, in Maryland, July 1967, till my retirement from the Air Force, in AUgust 1972. VC135's, and VC137's. Quality Control Inspector, and Aircraft Systems Control Monitor for SAM Aircraft.

I worked at E-Systems, in Greenville, Texas, a major aircraft over haul and repair facility, for 21 years. I took an early retirement from E-Systems in 1993, and am enjoying every minute of it!
